Systems and Engineerng Technologies
Current Role

I studied Aerospace Systems Engineering at university and now work at Frazer-Nash’s Bristol office. Much of my work is within the defence and aerospace industries and I am currently working on various projects within these sectors. My work often involves a lot of interaction with clients which certainly makes a change from being stuck behind a desk all day. Frazer-Nash has offered me a lot of responsibility early in my career which has been great for my confidence and has provided me with a lot of job satisfaction.

Why Frazer-Nash?

I joined Frazer-Nash on a short term contract and I soon realised that it’s a great company to work for. It’s still a relatively small company, so you get to know everyone in your office fairly quickly. But the biggest draw of Frazer-Nash is the diversity of work; you could be writing requirements for naval platforms one day and calculating flight loads on commercial aircraft the next. Frazer-Nash is a rapidly growing company which means that no two days are ever the same.

Where do you see your career going?

Frazer-Nash is keen to give everyone the training and experience they need to stay at the top of their game. They’re keen for all graduates to become chartered and have a good support structure in place to help them: they know it’s in their interest to develop their staff, so it works for everyone.

What is the social life like at Frazer-Nash?

There are a lot of like-minded people across the company who enjoy getting involved in all manner of activities. Recently, 30 of us took part in the 3 Peaks Challenge where we climbed the three highest peaks in the UK within 24 hours. Frazer-Nash not only supports but actively encourages these kinds of activities.
