Aerospace Expert Joins Frazer-Nash

Engineering consultancy Frazer-Nash has announced the appointment of a new principal consultant to support the company’s aerospace and defence projects.

Philip Stehr will be joining Frazer-Nash’s expanding safety and environmental group working alongside the aerospace team to help enhance the company’s capabilities in the both the military and civil aerospace arena.

Philip has extensive experience working on major aerospace and defence projects with large system & manufacturing companies, including Lockheed Martin, Westland Helicopters and GEC-Marconi.

As Deputy Chief Engineer & Chief Airworthiness Engineer at Lockheed Martin UK, Philip was responsible for overseeing the design, development and certification of the Merlin HM Mk1 helicopter. Philip also worked as Senior Project Manager at GEC Marconi Underwater Systems where he was responsible for the creation of high frequency ‘mine hunting’ sonar equipment.

Frazer-Nash Business Manager Martin Soltau said: “We are very pleased to welcome Philip into our Air Systems Team. Philip’s extensive industry experience, particularly in the field of airworthiness and rotorcraft, will provide a significant boost to our capability in this sector.”
