Engineering and technology company Frazer-Nash has expanded and
strengthened its Security and Resilience team with the appointment
of Phil Speedy as its Senior Business Continuity Consultant.
Phil started his career in the Royal Air Force as a Navigator,
where he reached the rank of Wing Commander. His most recent post
was as the Senior Operations Manager of the Defence Crisis
Management Centre, responsible for delivering 24/7 secure fallback
facility to HMG and Defence.
Throughout his career, Phil has had extensive experience of
contingency planning, including taking new ideas from concept
through to implementation. Within the aeronautical mapping
world, his unit produced and delivered all aeronautical information
to UK Defence and sold over £1M products annually to external
commercial markets. Latterly, within the MoD, he was responsible
for reviewing and updating operational plans that ensured a safe
and secure working environment for the senior levels of government
and defence.
At Frazer-Nash, Phil will be responsible for driving the
development of the consultancy's Security and Resilience business
by helping clients in all sectors to build resilient solutions to
their own particular problems, providing through-life project
support and giving them a competitive edge.
Commenting on the appointment, Bill Hodson, Director at
Frazer-Nash Consultancy said: "In today's ever changing world
with increasingly complex threats, public and private organisations
need to start looking at resilience in a more coherent, measurable
and engineered way.
"Phil brings an operational focus to our resilience team with
valuable experience in delivering resilient working environments to
both HMG and Defence. His background will give Frazer-Nash
the ability to look at customer's resilience requirements in a
holistic way and help them maintain a competitive advantage."
