Job Description

We are growing a digital, data and technology capability that is both inward and externally facing. You will be assigned across vertical business/industry sectors within the company's client base which currently comprises Defence, Security, Government, Nuclear, Rail, Transport and Energy sectors.  This group of verticals is expected to grow to reflect the ubiquitous nature of information systems and digital technologies.

You will be joining this growing team and you'll work on exciting projects in the UK and worldwide.  Our Information Systems and Cyber sector is a successful and rapidly growing part of our business which has developed significantly in terms of footprint and capability over the last 12 months.  Your efforts will help drive this success though delivering high quality technical advice and systems based problem-solving.


Candidates will have experience of identifying business and user needs, developing business cases and involvement in the identification, design and validation of potential technical and business transformation solutions.  Acting as the 'bridge' between the business and the IT and programme delivery teams.

Successful candidates will have skills and expertise covering:

  • management of multiple varied stakeholders, both internal and external to the organisation, to understand their motivations and concerns;
  • capturing 'Baseline' and 'Target' business and data domain views (using industry standards and tools);
  • elicitation, collation  and analysis of business requirements, at disparate levels of detail
  • development of data models and use cases to support and inform business requirement analysis;
  • evaluating alternative business transformation and technical solutions to deliver business benefits;
  • planning and leading effective workshops, interviews and presentations;
  • experience of industry best practice business analysis / architectural methods and associated CASE tools 

We are particularly interested to hear from candidates with experience of working on .GOV.UK service implementations adhering to GDS guidelines and agile project delivery.

The role will be client facing and successful candidates are expected to work in a dynamic fast paced consultancy environment.  As such, candidates will be expected to demonstrate experience of the following:

  • working with clients potentially as part of an embedded client team;
  • analytical thinking with strong problem-solving skills;
  • leading or contributing to bids and tenders;
  • an understanding of project management in a commercial environment;
  • strong oral and written communication skills.

You will have a good university degree (or equivalent) and professional qualifications / certification in a relevant discipline, with evidence of further continual professional development.
