Graduate Engineer - Structural Assessment

Job Description

Undertaking work across many industries, we support our clients from the evaluation of concepts to life extension and decommissioning.  To carry out these assessments, we use a variety of tools and techniques ranging from hand-calculations and code assessment through to complex finite element modelling.
The role will involve supporting projects from initiation to delivery, including:
  • Liaising with clients to define requirements for models and analysis;
  • The design and development of analytical models using FEA;
  • Running models developed for analysis and understanding the impact of the outputs in the context of the client's organisation;
  • Delivering models or results from models to meet clients' requirements;
  • Project management
We will support and develop you to ensure you have the right skills and competencies to deliver tasks and projects.  As part of our commitment to develop well-rounded engineers, there will be opportunities for secondments to client sites and into other areas of the business. 
Engineers working within our teams will have the opportunity to challenge themselves and grow and develop through delivering interesting and varied projects for a range of different clients and industries.

Requirements

We would expect you to have a strong understanding of the fundamental principles of stress analysis, and a demonstrable interest in computational analysis through project work or other experience.
You will have, or be on track for, a good degree in e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Design, etc.
