Job Description

We are supporting a number of clients with the development of manufacturing methods for the both current and future products.   Our support is usually focussed on the acquisition, development and implementation of manufacturing systems and methods.  These are generally intended to increase the throughput of the factories whilst also improving the product safety and reliability at a reduced cost.

We are looking to recruit talented and enthusiastic engineers with the skills and experience to help our clients deliver the products their future markets need.  You should have a good understanding of current manufacturing processes and their ongoing development.   Your experience will allow you to actively contribute to the development of our client's manufacturing strategies, enabling you to support them during the implementation of these strategies.   Your understanding of design and the underlying processes will enable you to advise our client's on opportunities to develop the design of their products, so that the full commercial advantages of these strategies are realised.

We pride ourselves on delivering high quality and innovative solutions to meet our client's requirements.  You will join our successful team, contributing to a diverse portfolio of projects.  You will have regular contact with clients throughout projects, typically defining the work scope and preparing proposals.  You will undertake the work itself, leading a team of engineers when required.  You will prepare and deliver the results our clients, managing tasks to time, cost and quality expectations.  You will also be expected to contribute future business development.


You will have a good degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Production Engineering with evidence of further continued personal development.

Whilst not essential, it would be advantageous if you demonstrate capability or experience in any of the following:

  • Engagement of stakeholders to capture, develop and manage Requirements.
  • Development of methods of manufacture and the associated routing, processes, tooling and fixtures they require.
  • Understanding of current manufacturing processes and their impact on product design.
  • Knowledge of developments in manufacturing and the future processes that these will realise.
  • Quality Management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of modern inspection techniques.
  • Knowledge of a Destructive and Non-Destructive Examination techniques.
  • Experience in "Design for Manufacture".
  • Undertaking capability assessments of new equipment/processes.

As well as the above, you will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
