We are currently looking for experienced Nuclear Safety Specialists.

In this role you will deliver safety services to our clients, who include almost every UK nuclear site licensee. We work in nuclear new build, nuclear power generation, decommissioning, nuclear propulsion and nuclear facility safety.

We are looking for people with a range of seniority and experience (with a minimum of 5 years). Senior positions would involve the oversight and coaching of other staff, who will be supporting projects for which the individual is responsible.

We expect the successful candidate(s) to help consolidate and grow our existing key accounts and to develop our business with new clients.

Requirements

The successful applicant will meet the following minimum requirements:

You should have a degree in a relevant discipline and at least 2 years of experience working in a safety role in the UK nuclear industry. You will need to demonstrate a track record of delivering pragmatic and operationally focused safety solutions.

Your experience is likely to include:

  • Knowledge of UK nuclear regulatory regime including Legislation and Policy
  • Developing, authoring and reviewing high category Safety Cases
  • Deterministic and/or Probabilistic Safety Assessment
  • Internal/External Hazards Assessments
  • Engineering Design Substantiation

You will have a desire to take technical leadership and project management responsibility for a variety of safety consultancy projects.

You will take a strong interest in understanding clients' problems and in shaping programmes of work to resolve them.

It is to your advantage if you have experience of any of the following:

  • Nuclear Decommissioning
  • Radioactive Waste Management
  • Nuclear lifting, LOLER
  • Nuclear Human Factors
  • Radiological Consequence Assessments
