Office locations considered for this role - Bristol, Dorking/Leatherhead, Warrington, Burton, Plymouth.

Salary Range: £35,000 to £72,500 depending on experience.

The closing date for this role is 26th August 2022 but we would encourage early applications.

You will be part of a team adapting and developing methodologies to suit new and existing business areas, whilst building and maintaining relationships between us and our customer.

You will be required to apply through life Supportability Engineering, Asset Management and/or Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) strategies to complex engineering systems and have the drive to develop your knowledge of the principles and processes of Supportability Engineering, including R&M, through practical application and formal training.

The successful candidate/s will have recent practical experience working within either the defence, oil & gas, rail, renewables or nuclear sectors on Supportability Engineering (including Integrated Logistic Support) Asset Management and/or R&M engineering programmes.

Preferably you will have held a recent position within a consultancy or engineering business environment working as a Supportability, and/or R&M engineer/consultant or held an Integrated Logistic Support/R&M post in the Ministry of Defence (MOD) or as a defence contractor.

You will have a working knowledge of the applicable standards for Supportability, and/or R&M; in your current industry and have practical experience of applying Supportability and/or R&M tools and techniques to analyse engineering systems.

Requirements

The successful applicant will meet the following minimum requirements:

  • Recent demonstrable ability in delivering Supportability, R&M or Asset Management activities during the lifecycle of equipment programmes;
  • A good understanding and track record of undertaking formal Supportability and/or R&M analyses as applied to complex acquisition programmes (may include Supportability Analysis tasks, failure analysis, R&M modelling, and Supportability Case / R&M Case development;
  • Experience of developing Supportability / R&M documentation such as Management Plans, Element Plans, Case Reports;
  • The ability and ambition to deliver Supportability / R&M engineering within a variety of market sectors.


It is to your advantage if you meet any or all the following additional requirements:

  • Understanding of the MOD’s Defence Standard 00-600, ASD S3000L or similar standards;
  • An understanding of the MoD's Support Solution Envelope (SSE);
  • Experience of applying Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM);
  • Experience of whole life cost modelling;
  • An understanding of Asset Management and BS ISO 55000 series;
  • Experience of direct liaison with customers and management of the relationships.
