Frazer-Nash Consultancy has recently gone live with a Microsoft Dynamics solution to manage its engineering consultancy business, finance operations and HR.

We are now looking to establish an internal Dynamics Support Team to manage the operation of the new solution and establish best practices.

The remit of the Dynamics Support Team will include:

  • System Ownership
  • Process and Data Governance
  • Support Triage, Escalation and Resolution
  • Manage DXC Support Engagement
  • Maintain Process and System Documentation
  • Review, Approve/Reject Change Requests
  • Regression Testing and Release Management

As the leader of the Dynamics Support team you will manage the team and be required to perform and/or manage the following activities:

  • System Ownership
    • Be the authority on the Frazer-Nash Dynamics system
    • Drive, document and publish agreement on Frazer Nash process and data standards
  • Process and Data Governance
    • Specify and test a PowerBI data validation dashboard to manage adherence to Frazer-Nash process and data standards
    • Ensure the validation dashboard and data integration dashboard are monitored and action taken to get users to resolve issues
    • Monitor and report on process adherence to agreed standards e.g. project snapshots
  • Support Triage, Escalation and Resolution
    • Mange triage of support issues escalated by Business Champions, and ensure Support Tickets are raised to Frazer-Nash’s 3rd line support partner as appropriate
    • Ensure the Business Support Team liaise with Business Champions to resolve queries internally wherever possible
  • Manage Partner Support Engagement
    • Monitor Support Partner’s performance to SLAs
    • Meet regularly with Support Partner to review performance of support service
  • Maintain Process and System Documentation
    • Ensure an up to date repository of all system, process and training materials aligned to agreed Frazer-Nash standards is maintained
  • Review, Approve/Reject Change Requests
    • Instigate and manage adherence to a Dynamics Change Request process (to include any future Dynamic projects)
    • Review all Change Requests and assess consistency with agreed Frazer-Nash standards
    • Ensure all approved Change Requests include updates to documentation, are fully tested and communicated prior to release
  • Regression Testing and Release Management
    • Ensure a plan of all relevant future Microsoft product releases is maintained
    • Manage the build and maintenance of a suitable Regression Test Pack covering the full solution scope
    • Oversee regression testing of all new product releases, projects and change requests
    • Plan and manage all releases into Production system

Requirements

The role holder will require the following experience.

Essential:

  • Extensive Dynamics implementation or support experience
  • A background in operating at a Solution Architect level on large Dynamics implementations
  • Substantial recent configuration experience of the Dynamics Project Service Automation (PSA) application
  • Substantial configuration experience of the Dynamics Finance and Operations (F&O) application
  • Experience of implementing or supporting Dynamics solutions using PowerPlatform Data Integration
  • Experienced in using reports to analyse project profitability and performance to plan
  • Leading a business-wide application support team
  • Experience of implementing Dynamics HR (Talent)

This role is for a start date of March 2021 and would be expected to be based in one of our UK offices at least part time.
