Frazer-Nash has welcomed battery storage expert, Andres Blanco, to its renewables technology team.
Andres, who was formerly at Wood Group, has over ten years’ experience in solar photovoltaics (PV) and energy storage systems, working across design, technical due diligence, construction, and as owner’s engineer.
Describing his passion for battery storage, and the benefits it offers the renewable electricity generation sector, Andres said:
“As the energy transition – from fossil-based fuels to renewable generation methods – continues its dynamic pace of change, I believe battery storage offers huge benefits to the power sector and to wider society. The opportunity to store energy, to use when you need it, will back-up the grid, increase grid stability, and help deliver energy system flexibility.
“I’m really looking forward to working with Frazer-Nash, to help support its clients to achieve their technical and business goals, integrating their complex energy systems, and optimising their asset and project design.”
Welcoming Andres to Frazer-Nash, Renewables Business Manager Paul Mather said:
“We’re really pleased that Andres has joined us, bringing his extensive expertise in energy systems and storage to share with our clients. Andres has recently helped power companies to commission and deliver battery energy storage systems, and we know that his knowledge and experience will help us to advise and offer valuable insights to asset owners and project developers.”
