Unleashing the Power of Collaboration: Frazer-Nash Consultancy’s Commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant

At Frazer-Nash Consultancy, we believe that true success lies in collaboration and recognising the invaluable contributions made by individuals from diverse backgrounds. That is why we are proud to be a signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant, demonstrating our continued support for the vision it upholds in serving our armed forces and their families.

But what exactly is the Armed Forces Covenant, and what does it mean to us here at Frazer-Nash Consultancy?

The Covenant is a pledge, uniting us as a business in acknowledging and understanding the sacrifices made by those who serve or have served in the armed forces, as well. It emphasises the importance of treating them with fairness, respect, and dignity, both within our communities and society as a whole.

By signing the Covenant, we commit to ensuring that serving personnel, service leaders, veterans, and their families receive the support they deserve. We stand alongside central government, the single services (Royal Navy, British Army, Royal Air Force), businesses of all sizes, local government, charities and communities in making a positive difference.

As a signatory, Frazer-Nash firmly believes in eradicating biases and ensuring that veterans and serving personnel are never disadvantaged due to their time spent serving in HM Armed Forces. We recognise the immeasurable value they bring to the civilian workplace through their transferable skills and qualities honed during their military careers.

At Frazer-Nash, being a "forces friendly" employer goes beyond mere words.

As a leading systems, engineering, and technology company, we are committed to fostering a working culture that enables individuals to thrive. We understand that our employees are the lifeblood of our success. To further show our commitment and dedication, Frazer Nash Consultancy in 2023 has also been recently awarded our Bronze Defence Employment Recognition Scheme (DERS) award, a government recognised scheme aimed at employers to recognise this community, aligning their values and demonstrating notable support alongside our pledges within the Covenant.

We have recently appointed two Armed Forces Champions within our business: Gemma Whitley, a serving reservist, and Steve Brown, a veteran.  They actively promote the activities and accomplishments of our veteran and reservist community, ensuring that their voices are heard, and their contributions celebrated. We are looking forward to seeing their future and Armed Forces related ideas be implemented within the internal community.

The champions are also beginning important work with the wider Armed Forces Community of our parent company, KBR. KBR have a long-established Employee Resource Group and committee from whom we are excited to learn from during this journey. By leveraging their connections with KBR, Frazer-Nash Consultancy will have access to their knowledge, network and events helping us an organisation to achieve our own company vision.

Join us on this incredible journey as we harness the power of collaboration, innovation, and diversity, all while upholding the principles of our Armed Forces Covenant. Together, we can make a lasting impact and create a brighter future for all.

Tim Andrews our Defence Director here at Frazer-Nash and signatory of the Armed Forces Covenant, enthuses, "Ex-military personnel bring an immense amount of talent and expertise to our teams, across every corner of our organisation. Their exceptional communication skills, problem-solving abilities, adaptability, assurance, security awareness, and team-working capabilities add a wealth of expertise to our projects. We are committed to ensuring they transition from military into civilian life, providing ongoing support to ensure this transition throughout their entire career with Frazer-Nash.”

Our dedication to supporting the transition of veterans from military to civilian life doesn't end with their initial integration into our workforce. We are fully committed to providing ongoing support throughout their entire careers with Frazer-Nash Consultancy.
