Frazer-Nash Consultancy’s Renewables Technology Team has been nominated for Team of the Year at Energy UK’s prestigious Young Energy Professionals Awards 2025.

Frazer-Nash Consultancy’s Renewables Technology Team has been nominated for Team of the Year at Energy UK’s prestigious Young Energy Professionals Awards 2025.

Now in its eleventh year, the annual Young Energy Professionals Awards are an opportunity to give credit to energy industry professionals with up to 10 years of experience working in energy or for organisations providing a service to the industry.

Frazer-Nash’s Renewables Technology team comprises fourteen professionals ranging from junior engineers to senior consultants, and leads all our core technical services in onshore and offshore wind.  The nomination for the 2025 Team of the Year awards is in recognition of three elements. First, the Renewables Technology team’s world-leading support to the offshore wind and floating wind industries in design and coupled analysis of offshore wind systems. This work directly informs the design of the latest wind turbine technology on the market today. Secondly, the team’s delivery of expert analysis of wind farm effects, including wake assessments, yield assessment and the characterisation of floating wind effects at farm level. Thirdly, the fact that over the last eight years, this team has quadrupled growth in our renewables business by delivering consistent, high-quality work across the wind industry.

Jonathan Samson, Group Leader, Renewables Technology Team at Frazer-Nash Consultancy said: “We are delighted to have been shortlisted for Team of the Year for the Young Energy Professionals Awards for 2025.  We are really proud of our advisory work for a world-leading wind turbine manufacturer which helps them to advance their existing technology and wider support to joint industry projects and developers to ensure secure, resilient clean energy for the UK.”

“We have also recently supplemented this core turbine technology understanding by integrating our wider wind farm level R&D streams to provide commercial services that now cover the key technical challenges encountered both at farm level and system level for offshore wind projects.”

“Ultimately, our renewables technology team is not only the primary driving force across our renewables business but also has actively transferred knowledge to industry stakeholders – enabling our business to grow.”

The winners of this year’s Young Energy Professionals Awards will be announced at a ceremony on 6 November 2025.
