Director of Frazer-Nash’s International Business, Jonathan Armstrong, will present at the Henley Forum’s 2021 Annual Conference on 27 April.

Director of Frazer-Nash’s International Business, Jonathan Armstrong, will present at the Henley Forum’s 2021 Annual Conference, ‘Becoming Agile: An international festival of learning’, which will be taking place virtually from 26 to 29 April.

Jonathan’s presentation, on the morning of 27 April, will discuss why bridging the gap between policy and engineering is vital if we are to address society’s challenges.

Describing the need to develop connected thinking, Jonathan said:

“Our society is facing many challenges. Complex energy, transport and security systems are being asked to play a very different role, one that demands social and technical change. I believe that we need to ‘bridge the gap’ between those making the policy in these areas, and those with the engineering expertise to transform this policy into tangible, real world actions and systems.

“By bridging the gap, we will be able to confidently develop big, bold ideas that will help to overcome society’s most pressing issues.”

Featuring an international line-up of speakers, and with participation from across the globe, the Henley Forum Conference aims to celebrate innovative practice, share learning and look ahead to the future of work. Participants will explore what it means to be agile – responding, adapting and renewing quickly in a rapidly changing, turbulent and uncertain world – rather than doing ‘Agile’ methodology.
