Frazer-Nash to sponsor the Young Woman Engineer of the Year Awards

Frazer-Nash has signed up as a headline sponsor for the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) Young Woman Engineer of the Year (YWE) Awards.

The company joins major organisations including BAE, BP, Boeing, Collins Aerospace, GCHQ, GKN, Leonardo, MBDA and the Royal Air Force as co-headline sponsors of this prestigious event.

The awards honour and celebrate the very best early career female engineers, working in the UK today. Open to entrants aged between 18 and 35, the awards include:

  • The Young Woman Engineer of the Year (YWE) award, presented to a dynamic young engineer who is a high achiever, a problem solver and a team player, and who represents the very best of the engineering profession
  • The Mary George Memorial Prize for Apprentices, given to a young female apprentice who shows great promise and potential in the profession, and who is tipped to be one of tomorrow’s leaders in engineering
  • The Women’s Engineering Society (WES) Prize, awarded to a young female engineer who is able to engage and inspire young people to become involved in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)
  • The Gender Diversity Ambassador Award, which honours and recognises an individual who has dedicated a large proportion of their career to achieving gender equality within the engineering industry.

Frazer-Nash Delivery Manager, Holley Reece-Barkell, who was recently elected as a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, will be one of the award judges.
