News & Events-Frazer-Nash attends SPE Offshore Europe 2015, Aberdeen

Specialists from Frazer-Nash will be exhibiting and speaking at the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Offshore Europe exhibition and conference on 8-11 September 2015.

Held at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC), SPE Offshore Europe is the continent's largest industry gathering, with over 48,000 members of the energy and petroleum community in attendance.

Based on stand 1F72, Frazer-Nash's specialists will be available throughout the event to discuss how the company is adding value to a wide range of its clients' projects.

The company's expertise includes independent technical analysis, design assessment support, advance engineering assessment support, advanced engineering assessment, late life, management and research and development.

On Wednesday 9 September Dr Graham Hawkes who leads one of the fluid teams at Frazer-Nash will be presenting 'Risk based assessment of flow assurance challenges' in the Deepwater Zone at 16:30.

The presentation will provide an insight into the risk-based flow assurance toolkit (RiBFAT), which is being developed within a JIP between Chevron, Woodside and Frazer-Nash. The objective of RiBFAT is to develop a framework to support the investment decision-making process at an early stage in the project life-cycle.

Themes discussed in this presentation will include how RiBFAT is helping advise the decision-making process (particularly for challenging and deepwater assets) by:

  • Collating industry experience, data and know-how
  • Understanding the Flow Assurance risk profile over time and cost drivers
  • Tracking and managing uncertainty
  • Identifying the most promising design concepts
