Post graduate opportunity: elastic follow-up in metallic components under high temperature creeping conditions.

Starting in September 2015, the research will support the 'R5' High Temperature Assessment Procedure development programme, and involve investigating creep strain behaviour under mixed loading conditions (elastic follow-up) for metallic components.

Run by a world-leading centre for high temperature research, you'll work on a complex, real-world engineering problem with experts across a diverse range of industries, including nuclear power, conventional power and aerospace. You'll also work closely with your colleagues in Frazer-Nash - an opportunity that provides the potential for future career opportunities.

You'll be a UK national with a degree-level background in material science and/or an engineering discipline, coupled with an interest in nuclear power, conventional power or gas turbines. Due to the nature of Frazer-Nash's work, the successful candidate will be required to gain UK security clearance.
