News & Events-Unmanned aircraft safety challenges under discussion at helicopter event

Frazer-Nash Aerospace Business Manager, Andrew Chadwick, will be presenting on the safety and interoperability issues facing unmanned aircraft at the 2017 Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) Annual Rotorcraft Conference.

Andrew's presentation, to be given jointly with Tony Duthie of Leonardo Helicopters on 5 July, will be on 'Integrated Unmanned/Manned Aircraft Operations'.

Andrew comments:

"Our talk will look at the growing use of unmanned aircraft; and we'll discuss the integration and interoperability issues that are being faced as unmanned and manned aircraft occupy the same airspace.

"There are a number of UAS initiatives that could offer current and future options for achieving safe integration and we'll be exploring the potential of these."

Taking place on 5 and 6 July in London, the conference is titled 'Technology: Friend or Foe?' and will look at helicopter operations in an increasingly complex environment.
