Independent assessment of novel wind turbine monopole cathodic protection (CP) configurations

We provided independent verification and optimisation for a novel impressed current cathodic protection (ICCP) design on an offshore wind turbine monopole.

Delivering independent expertise

We worked with a cathodic protection (CP) system original equipment manufacturer (OEM) to provide independent verification of a novel impressed current cathodic protection (ICCP) anode and reference electrode arrangement for installation on an offshore wind turbine monopole.

By assessing the performance both seasonally and through life we helped the company optimise its concept and control system, identifying the key factors to ensure protection could be provided along the full depth of the pile.
