Supporting the DSO transition

We help operators to manage networks in smarter, more flexible ways, enabling their drive towards Net Zero.

An increase in low-carbon distributed generation and low carbon technologies (LCTs), such as electric vehicles and heat pumps, means that networks need to be managed in smarter and more flexible ways. To accommodate the changes that will enable Net Zero, there is a requirement for Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) to take on the role of Distribution System Operators (DSOs) as well.

We are able to ensure new DSOs succeed in this transition by providing: flexibility service requirements modelling and forecasting; flexibility services end-to-end process development; market design, including charging mechanisms; flexibility platform rapid prototyping and demonstration; and network congestion analysis.
