We’re delighted Frazer-Nash has been contracted to support the Poseidon P-8A fleet for a further 3 and a half years. This builds on our existing six-year contract, through the Engineering Delivery Partnership (EDP), to provide technical assurance for this RAF aircraft.
Specialising in anti-submarine warfare, the Poseidon is the RAF’s multi-role maritime patrol fleet of nine aircraft. Equipped with multiple sensors and systems it’s used to locate, identify, track and attack hostile vessels operating around UK waters and support search and rescue missions.
Since 2019, our dedicated multi-disciplinary team has been providing P-8A with infrastructure development, maintenance, and capability upgrades as well as safety and environmental support.
As enhancements are made to aspects such as the cockpit and flight deck, we provide independent technical evaluation and certification evidence to ensure safety and security compliance. This is particularly pertinent as P-8A is a US designed fleet and must adhere to US aircraft certification as well as UK regulations.
Our work delivering a complex certification programme and safety assurance has ensured the MOD meet critical programme milestones. With this new contract we continue to help ensure operational readiness of this crucial military asset.
