The necessity to decarbonise has inspired an array of innovations aimed at reducing emissions. These technologies, including alternative means of space heating, electrification of vehicles and smart metering all provide challenges for electricity and gas networks.
We support our customers to optimise their networks and assets so that they can continue to support the roll-out of low carbon technologies (LCTs). For example we can:
- Forecast the network impacts of a range of new technologies, including EV uptake.
- Design and prototype software and sensors that support active network management.
- Understand if existing assets would be able to support alternative load profiles or alternative gasses such as hydrogen.
