Job Title: Process Safety Professional

Salary range: £60,000 to £80,000 per annum

Location: Bristol

Working Pattern: We operate a flexible hybrid working pattern at Frazer-Nash, with time split between the office, client sites and working from home.

We are looking for an experienced process safety person to join our teams supporting existing clients and helping us grow into new workstreams in this important area.

You should expect to work across a range of industries and types of plant in the energy, chemical and process industries, and potentially any of the diverse sectors that we serve.

As an experienced process safety professional, you will have a track record of safety assessment and safety management work in high-hazard industries.

You will be expected to undertake project work for clients on, or in support of, complex and significant safety justifications, and lead other staff in planning and performing such work.

You will be expected to lead and manage projects, develop and hold client relationships, and win new work; as well as supporting and coaching junior colleagues’ development.

Requirements

We would be delighted to hear from you if you meet some of the following requirements:

• A degree, Master's or PhD in Chemical Engineering or another relevant STEM subject; and membership of IChemE or a similar professional body

• Knowledge and experience of safety analysis, assessment and justification to chemical / process industry practices, including some or all:

- Quantified Risk Assessment and the analyses that contribute to it.

- Hazard Studies

- Process Hazard Review (PHR)

- Process Hazard Analysis (PHA)

- HAZID; HAZOP

- Bowtie analysis

- LOPA and SIL requirements determination

- Assessments for DSEAR

- Production of COMAH Safety Reports, and supporting assessments.

• Understanding of the UK regulatory/legal regime relating to safety management and safety assessments.

• Track record of technical oversight and leadership

• Strength in organised, clear, written communication

Due to the nature of the work that Frazer-­Nash Consultancy undertake, candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment screening and must be able to satisfy clearance criteria for UK National Security Vetting.
